Version 1.0 · in force from 26 September 2026

Terms of use

These terms apply when you use this website or buy the AML/CTF Program Kit or the Setup service. They are in plain English. Headings are for navigation only.

Last checked 25 September 2026 against the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 compilation C2026C00405 (Schedule 2, the Australian Consumer Law) and the AML/CTF Act compilation C2026C00274

Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

1. About these terms

AMLCompliant is a trading name of Wani Meridian Pty Ltd (ABN 97 701 307 020), an Australian company based in Victoria. "We", "us" and "our" mean Wani Meridian Pty Ltd trading as AMLCompliant. "You" means the business that buys from us or uses this website, and the person acting for it.

These terms cover the website amlcompliant.com.au, the AML/CTF Program Kit (the Kit) and the Setup service (Setup). By placing an order you agree to them. If the order page for a product says something different, the order page applies to that product.

Contact: [email protected].

  • The website, the Kit and the Setup documents are general information and practical documentation. They are not legal advice. We are not a law practice, and we do not claim to be entitled to engage in legal practice. If you need legal advice about how the AML/CTF laws apply to your business, please engage a lawyer.
  • We are not AUSTRAC. We are not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by AUSTRAC or the Australian Government.
  • Laws and guidance change. Our documents state the date on which they were checked against the law. After delivery, keeping your program current is your responsibility.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Each price is paid once. There are no subscriptions, memberships or renewals.
  • The Kit is A$497. Setup is A$990 for 1 to 3 personnel, A$1,490 for 4 to 8 personnel, and A$2,490 for 9 to 15 personnel or mixed service lines.
  • Payment is taken at checkout by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe emails your receipt and tax invoice to the address you give at checkout.
  • The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.

4. The Kit and your licence

The Kit is a set of editable Word documents in four sector editions: accountants, real estate agencies, conveyancers and legal practices. You receive all four in one download straight after payment. Use the edition for your sector.

Each edition is adapted from AUSTRAC's program starter kit for that sector, published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). AUSTRAC's original files are not in the Kit. Each edition links to AUSTRAC's free document library for that sector, so you can compare our documents with the originals.

Your licence. When you buy the Kit, we give you a licence on these conditions:

  • One firm. The Kit is for the one business that bought it (one ABN). Each other business needs its own Kit.
  • Internal use. You may use the Kit inside that business. You may share it with your staff, your compliance officer, your independent evaluator, your professional advisers and a regulator.
  • You may edit it. You may change, cut, add to and re-brand the documents to suit your business. We expect you to.
  • No resale. You may not sell, license, publish or give the Kit, edited or not, to any other business or person. You may not use it to supply document kits or compliance services to others.
  • Attribution stays. Documents adapted from AUSTRAC material carry AUSTRAC's attribution line, shown at the foot of every page of this website. Keep that line on any copy or adaptation of those documents, as the CC BY 4.0 licence requires.

Our own additions to the Kit remain our copyright. This licence does not limit anything you may do with AUSTRAC's own material under its CC BY 4.0 licence, which you can obtain free from AUSTRAC. The licence lasts as long as your business exists, unless you breach it.

5. The Setup service

Setup is a fixed-fee service. We tailor an AML/CTF program, built on AUSTRAC's starter kit for your sector, to a firm of up to 15 personnel that fits AUSTRAC's suitability criteria for the starter kits. The deliverables for each band are listed on the Setup page.

How it works.

  • After payment you can download the Kit straight away, together with the intake questionnaire for your sector.
  • You complete the intake and email it to [email protected].
  • We send your draft documents within 5 business days of receiving your complete intake. A business day is a weekday that is not a public holiday in Victoria. If the intake is incomplete, we tell you what is missing, and the 5 business days start when it is complete. If we need more time because of something on our side, we tell you before the 5 business days run out and agree a new date with you.
  • We then hold the calls for your band (one call in Band 1, two in Bands 2 and 3), record your senior manager's approval, run a training session for your staff and send the finished documents as download links to your email. Band 3 includes a check-in 30 days after delivery.

What you provide. Accurate and complete intake answers, and prompt notice if anything changes. The names of your compliance officer and of the senior manager who will approve the program. A decision-maker for the calls. Your own AUSTRAC Online access. You review the drafts and confirm the facts in them.

Your band. If your intake shows that your firm fits a different band, we tell you before any work starts. If the right band costs less, we refund the difference. If it costs more, we send you a payment link for the difference. No work starts until the band matches your intake.

What Setup does not include.

  • Legal advice. You decide which of your services are designated services. We record your decision and show you the AUSTRAC guidance behind it. Where the answer is unclear, we tell you in writing and suggest a lawyer or your professional body.
  • Acting as your compliance officer, senior manager or governing body. Those roles stay inside your business.
  • Lodging reports or forms for you. We do not lodge suspicious matter reports, threshold transaction reports, compliance reports or enrolment forms. We never hold your AUSTRAC Online login.
  • Your independent evaluation. An evaluation must be independent of the people who built your program, so we cannot evaluate a program we wrote. We plan it with you, and you engage an evaluator.
  • Sanctions-law advice, screening services, ongoing monitoring or later reviews.
  • Any promise about outcomes. We do not promise that your firm meets its obligations, any result with AUSTRAC, or freedom from penalties.

6. The correction promise and refunds

The correction promise. Our documents cite sections of the AML/CTF Act and Rules, dates and dollar thresholds. If you find a factual error in a citation, a date or a threshold in any document we delivered, email [email protected]. We correct it and send you the corrected document within 5 business days at no cost. If we cannot correct it, we refund what you paid for the Kit or the Setup service that contains it.

Your consumer guarantees. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Services must be supplied with due care and skill, must be reasonably fit for any purpose you made known to us, and must be supplied within a reasonable time. Goods must be of acceptable quality. If we fail a guarantee, you are entitled to the remedies the law gives you: for a major failure, these include cancelling and a refund, or compensation; for other failures, having the problem fixed within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees or remedies.

Our own refund terms, on top of the law.

  • Kit. The Kit is available to download as soon as you pay, so we do not give change-of-mind refunds for it. This does not affect your rights if the Kit is faulty or not as described.
  • Setup, before work starts. You may cancel for any reason before we start drafting or hold the first call, and we refund the Setup fee in full.
  • Setup, not a fit. If your intake shows that your firm is outside AUSTRAC's starter-kit profile or has more than 15 personnel, we tell you and refund the Setup fee in full before any work starts.
  • Setup, after work starts. If you cancel after we start drafting, we refund the part of the fee for work not yet done. You keep the documents already delivered.

To ask for a correction, refund or remedy, email [email protected] with your Stripe receipt number. We answer within one business day.

7. Our liability

  • Nothing in this section limits the consumer guarantees or any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
  • For services not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee is limited, as far as the law allows, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again. This does not apply where it would not be fair or reasonable for us to rely on it.
  • We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete intake answers, by changes you make to the documents after delivery, or by your business not following its program.

8. Your obligations stay yours

If your business provides designated services, it is the reporting entity under the AML/CTF Act. Enrolling, having and following an AML/CTF program, customer due diligence, reporting, record-keeping, appointing a compliance officer and arranging independent evaluations are your business's obligations. Our documents and Setup help you meet them. They do not transfer them to us.

9. Free guides and tools

The guides and any free tools on this website are general information. A tool's result is a starting point for your own decision, not advice, and it is not a decision about your business by us or by AUSTRAC. Check the source we link to before you rely on a result.

10. Use of the website

Please do not copy the website's content for publication, interfere with how it works, or use it to build a competing product. Sample pages and guides are for reading, not for redistribution.

We link to AUSTRAC, the Federal Register of Legislation, the OAIC and other sites so that you can read the source yourself. Links to AUSTRAC's website open in a new window, as AUSTRAC's linking conditions ask. A link does not mean that the other site endorses us or our products, or that it wrote any of our content.

12. Privacy

We handle personal information, including the information in a Setup intake, as described in our privacy policy. It names the providers we use and the countries where they hold information.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Each version shows its number and the date it comes into force. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria may deal with any dispute. This does not stop you from using a consumer protection scheme or tribunal available to you.
